Leong Ka Tai and the Red Thread

Leong Ka Tai is a professional photographer for about 40 years. His photographs have been presented in Hong Kong, Europe, the United States, and Southeast Asia. He has published 22 books and his photos have been appeared in numerous magazines, especially National Geographic, GEO, Stern, Life, The New York Times, Sunday Telegraph and PARIS MATCH. In 1994, he received the Hong Kong Artist Guild's Best Award, Best Photojournalism Award at the Harry Chapin Media Awards (World Hunger Year) in New York and other national and international awards . He also hosted the 2010 and 2012 Hong Kong International Photo Festival, and acted as chairman of the Hong Kong Photography Experts Association and the Hong Kong Photography Cultural Association.

Red thread is a team of students and alumni with many academic areas, arts and design gathered in Hong Kong. As a supporter of Echigo-Tsumari Triennale 2018, Kohebi-tai they were tied with a red fate thread, they announced a unique Hong Kong project and returned to show their diverse talents.
Each member has experience in art, design, landscaping, exhibitions, wedding planning, performance, event production, etc., and aims to gain a career in these fields.
