High stone walls called Ohte protect island homes from strong winter winds. The highest hill on Megijima offers a spectacular view of the Seto Inland Sea as well as an extensive cave that was once the lair of pirates.

Getting Around the Island

There is only one ferry port on Megijima. Almost all art sites in the village are easily accessed on foot.
