The name Teshima means “bountiful island,” and the islanders enjoy a rich harvest from both land and sea. Don’t miss the terraced rice fields that climb the hill towards Teshima Art Museum.

Transportation on the Island

There are two ports on Teshima: Ieura and Karato. Main art sites are located in three areas: Ieura, Kou and Karato vicinity. Out of consideration for the islanders, we ask that visitors use the local bus service.
