Suitcase in a Bottle
The Israeli-born artist produces works about the issues of immigration and extinction. These days, when residing in one place has become more difficult as travel has become easier, is the travel bug an escape, or perhaps due to a wandering spirit? This piece represents the sentiments of those without a home to live in, and posits the question of where the flow of life will take us as our expectations seem to drift like luggage in an unknown direction. The spiritual and physical longing for a home is briefly encapsulated, like a ghost within a bottle, inside the multipurpose suitcase of this piece by the artist.
