Various foods using Setouchi products will be provided during autumn season so that visitors can experience the history and climate of the island and the interaction with the local people.
Dinh Q Le, , the artist explores the fusion cuisine of Vietnam and Setouchi as "PhoUdon", which mix the famous Vietnamese noodle dish “pho” and “Sanuki udon” from Kagawa.

Iriko is dried small sardine of Setouchi. It's one of the specialities of Ibuki-island, next to here. This "Iriko-meshi" provided by local moms is with taro, carrot, Daikon raddish, fried tofu, Konnyaku inside.
Please enjoy with topping (Coriander, Basil, Shiso-basil) on Udon. Chicken taste better with Local-made "Iriko-Miso"

During Setouchi Triennale 2019, Tamano-city special box lunch named "Tamaben" will be on sale at Uno port information center!
This additive-free box lunch was produced by Maki Tagami who is the representative of "bento HATOBA". She creates foods with the theme of "The food makes smile" by additive-free box lunch and a seasoning workshop.
This box lunch are filled with local delicious food of Tamano and the Setouchi product. All foods are shaped of a round ball (Tamano-city's "Tama" means a round ball).
So, it is easier to pick at them on the way and outside. It also included the meaning of thanking the relationship (circle says also "En" in Japanese, and "En" means chance.) with visitors.
The main menu of "Tamaben" of Autumn version is "2 colors Okowa (Japanese steamed rice)".
One is “Conger Okowa” (conger and mushrooms from Tamano) and other is “Octopus Okowa” (black rice with octopus and Umeboshi (pickled plums) ).
And there are several kinds of side dishes using local seasonal products.
Enjoy the island trip of Art with “Autumn Tamaben,” which is the taste of autumn in Setouchi.

Ta11 " Terrace of Inland Sea ”(Masahito Nomura) is the artwork that you can overlook the sea with Italian cuisine at the terrace.
A bright and open terrace has been created in a corner of a street made by stone wall in the old Ura district of Takamijima.
As a place for interaction between visitors and local people, everyone can sit around the table.
Opening hours as an outdoor artwork are between 10:00am and 4:45pm. Meals can be served between 10:30am and 4:00pm(LO 3:00pm) .

2019.09.13 "Shimamusume Bento Lunch" on Hojima
In the fall season, “Shimamusume Bento Lunch” will be sold on Honjima!
“Shimamusume Bento Lunch” was made with the ingredients of Honjima, and every dishes are satisfactory such as octopus rice and octopus tempura, fried shrimp and vegetables!
In addition, there may be a small shell ligament tempura that only locals can eat!
"Shimamusume (Island girl) Bento Lunch" was named because it was born and raised on Honjima.
If you eat this bento while viewing the Seto-ohashi Bridge, the bento would be more tasty!
