2019.07.17 Tamano-city box lunch "Tamaben" of Summer version!

During Setouchi Triennale 2019, Tamano-city special box lunch named "Tamaben" will be on sale at Uno port information center!

This additive-free box lunch was produced by Maki Tagami who is the representative of "bento HATOBA". She is a food creator with the theme of " The food makes smile" by additive-free box lunch and a seasoning workshop.
This box lunch are filled with local delicious food of Tamano and the Setouchi product. All foods are shaped of a round ball( this image came from Tamano-city"Tama", and it means a round ball).
So, it is easier to pick at them on the way and outside. It also included the meaning of thanking the people (circle says also "En" in Japanese, and "En" means chance.) with tourists visiting the Setouchi Triennale.

"Tamaben" of Summer version is "Tamachirashi of summer", which is related to local dish "Barachirashi" in Okayama.
This is a sushi made with fresh summer vegetables and seafood from Tamano.
You can enjoy Japanese and Western side dishes with acidic taste, so it is easy to eat in summer when your appetite falls.

2019.05.10 Oshima {Tsunagari no Ie}cafe SHIYORU

Fresh fruit grown on Oshima are used in the drinks and sweets, which are served on pottery dishes fired with Oshima clay. Residents also visit the café to relax and pass the time.「 {Tsunagari no Ie}cafe SHIYORU」。

「Roppou-yaki」is a dessert made by residents of a national treatment facility for patients recovery from leprosy when many people lived in Oshima in the old days.
Recently, the recipe of Roppoy-yaki are reproduced and it provides at Shima-kitchen in Teshima.

In addition, pottery dishes "Oshima-yaki" fired with Oshima clay are made by the Setouchi Koebi-tai network.

2019.05.10 Little Shops on the Island "Café de la Plage" in Megijima

Little Shops on the Island in Megijima, Café de la Plage, this art work is a space where you can enjoy talking and reading books with a cup of coffee or snack.

There is a humorous mechanism on the wall and table of the shop.
Please try to touch the table or wall.

And then,

The color of wall and table is changed by a temperature!

By a temperature of drink or body and sunlight, a part where you are touching, will be changed.

Please enjoy this only time and pattern which are never twice the same.

2019.05.10 Megijima "Setouchi gastronomy"(EAT&ART TARO)

Special lunch produced by artist, EAT&ART TARO is provided at restaurant " IARA" established together with artwork "The Presence of Absence" by Leandro Erlich in Megijima.
EAT&ART TARO makes artworks with a theme of jobs.
It is a 30 minutes lunch show, and you may know deliciousness of Setouchi unintentionally.

2019.05.10 Shima Kitchen

Designed by Ryo Abe, the restaurant’s large roof wraps around tables providing seating in an airy, semi-outdoor space. Local women have collaborated with chefs from the Marunouchi Hotel to develop an original menu of delicious cuisine based on local fish and produce, while the terrace area is frequently used for music, dance and other events and workshops. Shima Kitchen has established itself as a real local platform, bringing people together through art and food.
