Various foods using Setouchi products will be provided during autumn season so that visitors can experience the history and climate of the island and the interaction with the local people.
Dinh Q Le, , the artist explores the fusion cuisine of Vietnam and Setouchi as "PhoUdon", which mix the famous Vietnamese noodle dish “pho” and “Sanuki udon” from Kagawa.

Iriko is dried small sardine of Setouchi. It's one of the specialities of Ibuki-island, next to here. This "Iriko-meshi" provided by local moms is with taro, carrot, Daikon raddish, fried tofu, Konnyaku inside.

During Setouchi Triennale 2019, Tamano-city special box lunch named "Tamaben" will be on sale at Uno port information center!
This additive-free box lunch was produced by Maki Tagami who is the representative of "bento HATOBA". She creates foods with the theme of "The food makes smile" by additive-free box lunch and a seasoning workshop.
This box lunch are filled with local delicious food of Tamano and the Setouchi product. All foods are shaped of a round ball (Tamano-city's "Tama" means a round ball).
So, it is easier to pick at them on the way and outside. It also included the meaning of thanking the relationship (circle says also "En" in Japanese, and "En" means chance.) with visitors.
The main menu of "Tamaben" of Autumn version is "2 colors Okowa (Japanese steamed rice)".
One is “Conger Okowa” (conger and mushrooms from Tamano) and other is “Octopus Okowa” (black rice with octopus and Umeboshi (pickled plums) ).
And there are several kinds of side dishes using local seasonal products.
Enjoy the island trip of Art with “Autumn Tamaben,” which is the taste of autumn in Setouchi.

Ta11 " Terrace of Inland Sea ”(Masahito Nomura) is the artwork that you can overlook the sea with Italian cuisine at the terrace.
A bright and open terrace has been created in a corner of a street made by stone wall in the old Ura district of Takamijima.
As a place for interaction between visitors and local people, everyone can sit around the table.
Opening hours as an outdoor artwork are between 10:00am and 4:45pm. Meals can be served between 10:30am and 4:00pm(LO 3:00pm) .

In Fukuda area , Shodishima, there is 「FUKUTAKE HOUSE-ASIA ART PLATFORM」 which was renovated from a closed elementary school. Neighboring Fukuda-Asia restaurant, you can enjoy asian foods.

In the fall season, “Shimamusume Bento Lunch” will be sold on Honjima!
“Shimamusume Bento Lunch” was made with the ingredients of Honjima, and every dishes are satisfactory such as octopus rice and octopus tempura, fried shrimp and vegetables!
In addition, there may be a small shell ligament tempura that only locals can eat!
"Shimamusume (Island girl) Bento Lunch" was named because it was born and raised on Honjima.

During the autumn season, "Urara's Ibukijima Bento Lunch" will be sold on Ibukijima!
The “Urara Kitchen” was launched by local mothers at the Setouchi Triennale 2016 to spread the attraction of foods on Ibukijima.
“Urara” means “us” in the dialect.
This time, under the supervision of Mr. Kishimoto, a owner of “Creative local dish Koyomi”, who is a graduate of “Setouchi Food Fram School”, local mothers will provide bento lunches made with all their heart using Irico rice and Ibukijima ingredients. In addition to lunch boxes, side dishes will be also provided (Iriko rice, Kamaage Iriko fried tempura).

Ibukijima and Irico
Speaking of Ibukijima's industry is “irico fishing”.
Irico is an anchovy that has been boiled and dried.
On Ibukijima, the fishery and the processing factory are very close, and the fishermen's boss consistently produces from fishing to processing, so the freshness is outstanding!
The high-quality " Ibuki Iriko" is shipped thoughout the country.
One from the menu, “Kamaage Iriko Tempura” is a popular dish on the table on Ibukijima.
However, in fact, this “Kamaage Iriko” has rarely been eaten by any Kagawa residents other than Ibukijima!
It's a dish that you can eat only on Ibukijima.
The reason is Ibuki Irikoi's characteristic, its freshness.
“Kamaage iriko” is an anchovy that was boiled in a pot within 30 minutes from landing.
In other words, only Ibukijima people can usually eat this Iriko.
This time, local mothers will provide such a precious “Kamaage Iriko tempura” at the Setouchi Triennale 2019!
