《Heather B.Swann》
Born in Hobart, Australia in 1961. Swann creates stories based on motifs drawn from feminist literature and mythology, developing them into organic forms mainly as sculptures and drawings. Her works always incorporate the allegorical use of a face or body part, and the restricted palette of pink, gray, black, and white gives her worlds a dreamlike quality. Inspirations derived from tactile sensations are a prominent feature of her work, and she has recently been developing the concept of sculptural objects as “performance tools”, fitting objects to the bodies of performers and choreographing their performances.
