Completed graduate studies at Musashino Art University. From the early stages of her career as an artist, Aoki has been working with basic shapes, such as rings and circles, cut from industrial steel plates and welded into sculptures. Through the keen observation of space, she incorporates both visible and invisible aspects of existence, and her works transcend the weight and hardness of the materials, constructing their own unique world and transforming space. In recent years, she has begun branching out to work with diverse materials, including plaster and glass. Major awards include the Minister of Education New Artist Prize, the Mainichi Arts Award, and the Teijiro Nakahara Award.
