An architectural experience reflecting extensive research
The village in which this historical building is located once used a water relay system to conserve shared well water. Sun, wind, and water, “moving materials” as Sambuichi calls them, are key elements in this project, which looks at the house, the land, and the use of well water.
The aim is to draw people together around a water source where they can appreciate once again the value of the earth’s “moving materials.”
