The Inujima Art House Project Five Art House galleries are scattered around the village, fusing art and architecture with the natural landscape and the island’s way of life.
Colorful shapes express Inujima’s energy. A new rhythm emerges in the island landscape. Decorated with vibrant colors and shapes, the transparent acrylic circle forming A-Art House separates the interior and exterior space while merging with the surroundings. The artist, Brazilian Beatriz Milhazes, sees it as a sculpture fused with the community and nature, an expression of the energy emitted by the island and the islanders’ lives. The colors and shapes change depending on the angle from which they are viewed, stirring the visitor’s imagination and generating a new hythm in the island landscape.
