Art House Project "Ishibashi"

na15-B

Creating art from “tangible memory” A century-old home and warehouse were transformed into an art installation. Works include a giant waterfall and a cliff scene painted on sliding paper screens.
Art House Project The Art House Project restores traditional Naoshima houses, temples and shrines and transforms them into art spaces. Located in a ‘living’ district, they are interwoven with memories of a time when these dwellings were homes. The project began in 1998, and seven buildings are currently open to the public.
