A place for investigating, collecting, displaying, and discussing the climate and history of Setouchi Launched in Septemember 2019, The Setouchi " " Museum featured photographer Yoichi Midorikawa in 2019 and explored 100 Years of Tourism in 2020. The exhibition "Slag Scenery", which was shown in 2021, will be renewed for the 2022 Triennale Spring Session. Slag is the residue produced when ores are smelted and refined into copper or other metals. The exhibit looks at slag produced in the copper refineries on Naoshima and Inujima and its impact on the island scenery and people's lives. <> 2019 :Setouchi "Yoichi Midorikawa" Museum 2020 :Setouchi "100 Years Tourism” Museum 2021 Spring: Setouchi " Slagscape " Archive About Miyanoura Gallery 6; Setouchi "  " Museum was founded as a place for people living in Setouchi, people with connections to the area, and experts from a range of fields to meet, research, collect, exhibit, and discuss topics such as the scenery, landscape, culture, and history of the Setouchi region. The works will be recorded and preserved, and used for further exhibitions. This project is directed by artist Motoyuki Shitamichi.
