Nobuaki Furuya
Graduated from Department of Architecture, School of Creative Science and Engineering, Waseda University. Completed the Master’s program at the same university. After working as a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Kinki University, was employed at the office of Swiss architect Mario Botta from 1986 to 1987 with the Agency of Cultural Affairs Overseas Training Program for Artists. Assistant professor of the Faculty of Creative Science and Engineering, Waseda University (professor in 1997) in 1994, and established NASCA with Sachiko Yagi the same year.

Instructor and student work as one-on projects in collaboration with the society outside of campus, including community planning and regional revitalization, in addition to the design of individual architectural projects. Actively participated in various projects such as community revitalization across Japan, collaborative research with local governments, joint research with companies, competitions, exhibitions, and workshops.
