The Sound from Distance
Small insect robots that make a cricket-like sound and twinkle like fireflies are scattered throughout the vacant house. When a viewer gets too close to the robots, they become quiet, and when they move away, they make a sound. The artist's modest wish is to encourage viewers to pause for a moment and reflect on our behavior when confronted with beautiful things in nature.
