Pasang
From funadamasan and two hands
In Indonesia, the word pasang means “tide” and also “pair.” The two artists, a husband and wife, each made their own works drawing inspiration from two old photos, one of a local fisherman holding in each hand a house-shaped, wooden funadamasan , protective charms for boats, and another of a pair of fishing boats pulling a sardine fishing net. With the participation of local islanders, the unit also plans to make costumes and put on a performance.
