2019.09.25 Enjoy the Sanuki Udon noodle with Vietnamese Chicken Pho soup in Awashima!



Dinh Q Le, , the artist explores the fusion cuisine of Vietnam and Setouchi as "PhoUdon", which mix the famous Vietnamese noodle dish “pho” and “Sanuki udon” from Kagawa.

Enjoy the Sanuki Udon noodle with Vietnamese Chicken Pho soup! Provided with local dish, "Iriko- Meshi (Seasoned rice with dried small sardine)".


Vietnam Coffee (cold)/越南珈琲(冰)…¥500

Pho soup is from Chicken bones, Onion,Ginger, Sharrot, Star anis, Cinamonn, etc.
You can see the spices with photograph on the wall here!


Iriko- Meshi
Iriko is dried small sardine of Setouchi. It's one of the specialities of Ibuki-island, next to here. This "Iriko-meshi" provided by local moms is with taro, carrot, Daikon raddish, fried tofu, Konnyaku inside.

Spices
Please enjoy with topping (Coriander, Basil, Shiso-basil) on Udon. Chicken taste better with Local-made "Iriko-Miso"

Pickled Eggplant and Cucumber with Mustard

2019.09.25 Tamano-city box lunch "Tamaben" of Autumn version!

During Setouchi Triennale 2019, Tamano-city special box lunch named "Tamaben" will be on sale at Uno port information center!

This additive-free box lunch was produced by Maki Tagami who is the representative of "bento HATOBA". She creates foods with the theme of "The food makes smile" by additive-free box lunch and a seasoning workshop.
This box lunch are filled with local delicious food of Tamano and the Setouchi product. All foods are shaped of a round ball (Tamano-city's "Tama" means a round ball).
So, it is easier to pick at them on the way and outside. It also included the meaning of thanking the relationship (circle says also "En" in Japanese, and "En" means chance.) with visitors.


The main menu of "Tamaben" of Autumn version is "2 colors Okowa (Japanese steamed rice)".
One is “Conger Okowa” (conger and mushrooms from Tamano) and other is “Octopus Okowa” (black rice with octopus and Umeboshi (pickled plums) ).
And there are several kinds of side dishes using local seasonal products.
Enjoy the island trip of Art with “Autumn Tamaben,” which is the taste of autumn in Setouchi.

2019.09.20 Autumn menu of Fukuda-Asia restaurant

In Fukuda area , Shodishima, there is 「FUKUTAKE HOUSE-ASIA ART PLATFORM」 which was renovated from a closed elementary school. Neighboring Fukuda-Asia restaurant, you can enjoy asian foods.
During autumn session, there are 3 kinds of set meal.

Asian set meal B《Green curry and rice, Thai land》


To go to "FUKUTAKE HOUSE"/"Fukuda restaurant", it takes 5 minutes by car from Fukuda port and 20 minutes by car from Obe port. And also it takes 30 minutes by car from Sakaide port.

It is smoothly to go to Lin Shuen Long's art 「Beyond the Border - Wave」 from Fukuda restaurant.

How about adding this plan to one of making a tour of Shodoshima?

2019.09.17 Currently recruiting participants in the “Honjima Thai Day” Marche!


On Honjima in the fall season (September 28-November 4), Thai artist Pinaree Sanpitak 's work, ho11 " The Black and The Red House will be exhibited.

As part of this artwork, almost all restaurants on Honjima will cooperate with this artwork, and they will provide Thai-style dishes only for the fall season.

At the same time, “Honjima Thai Day” marche is held every Sunday at Tomari Port, where Thai food and miscellaneous goods are gathered. (Organizer: Honjima Thailand Day Executive Committee)

We are currently looking for participants in this marche!
