Beyond the Border - Wave
In a space behind the sea wall, thousands of bamboo form a sea creature
Thousands of bamboo poles were used to form this round, fluffy sea creature. The bamboo fronds wave in the wind, as if beckoning to the children from the artist’s previous work who returned to their far-flung homes from this shore three years ago. Sunlight and the sea breeze filter through the bamboo poles. Stepping out onto the shore, we are confronted with the lone figure of a child emerging from the sea, as though he has walked along the horizon to get here.
