What comes to mind when you see a “no entry” sign?
Putting up a “no entry” sign and cordoning off a certain area transforms it into a special place separate from its surroundings. Even though it has always been there, a part of daily life, the spot suddenly becomes visible, triggering the imagination so that we see formerly mundane scenery in both positive and negative ways. The words “no entry” change the neutral ordinary into something extraordinary.
