Exploring Shodoshima’s future through theatrical performances
This project unravels Shodoshima’s past and present and explores its future through theatrical performances staged at the rural kabuki theaters of Hitoyama and Nakayama. What do local high school students think about their future and what choices will they make? With Shodoshima as the stage, the project examines the act of making choices in personal and social spaces in various situations in life, while involving the local people.
