2019.08.20 The workshop of “Sora-Ami:Knitting the Sky” by Yasushi Igarashi

Regarding the “Sora-Ami:Knitting the Sky Workshop” by Yasushi Igarashi, an artist participating in the Setouchi Triennale 2019, announced on 30 July (Tue), we will inform you about the following additions / changes of the workshop date.

2019.08.15 Due to the passing Typhoon #10,The Setouchi Triennale 2019 Artworks and Facilities will be open from August 16th


According to information of Typhoon #10 passing issued by the Takamatsu Meteorological Agency, from August 16th at 12:00pm (at 12:30pm Oshima), all Artworks and Facilities will be open except some Artworks and Facilities. Please see ”Exceptional Artworks and Facilities” below.

We will open Artworks and Facilities after having confirmed their safety. Also, depending on typhoon situation, the information may be changed. We will update the detailed information of each Artwork, Facility and Event through Urgent Information on our website, setouchi-artest.jp as things progress. Please do not get close to the Artworks because it is very dangerous during these closed hours.

*tk05 (Takamatsu Public Pool) and tk18 (Aji Ryuozan Park) will be open when the weather warning is not announced in Takamatsu area. As for tk15 (Shikoku Mura), please check Shikoku Mura website for further information.

2019.08.13 Due to the approaching Typhoon #10, The Setouchi Triennale 2019 Artworks and Facilities will be closed from The afternoon of August 14th to August 15th


Typhoon #10 is approaching and according to information issued by the Takamatsu Meteorological Agency from August 14th in the afternoon until the end of the day August 15th, all Artworks and Facilities will be temporarily closed during this time. The following is information for each island.

The Kagawa Prefectural Museum, Takamatsu City Museum, Takamatsu Public Pool, Umitota and Shikoku Mura each have a website, so please check for further information.

Some artworks will be cancelled after the morning on August 14th due to decision making regarding closing hours. The artworks will be reopened after checking the artworks on the 16th.

Depending on the typhoon’s course, the information may be changed. We will update the detailed information of each artwork, facility and event through Urgent Information, etc. on our website, setouchi-artest.jp. Please do not go near the artworks because it is very dangerous during these hours closed.

2019.08.07 August 13th, Takamatsu Port Official Shop “Sea Market” will be extended by 2 hours.

The Setouchi Triennale executive committee opens official shops, including the official goods of the triennale, Kagawa and Setouchi, at Takamatsu Port and Miyanoura port( Naoshima) during the Setouchi Triennale 2019.
In conjunction with the “54th Sanuki Takamatsu Festival Fireworks Festival Dondon Takamatsu”, Takamatsu Port Official Shop “Sea Market” will be extended only on Tuesday, August 13, as follows.

2019.07.22 "Setouchi ASIA Forum 2019" Opening Session~Sharing community development by art~

As Setouchi Triennale Executive Committee (Chairman: Keizo Hamada, the Governors of Kagawa Prefecture), since the efforts of the Setouchi Triennale as community development by art are attracting attention from overseas, "Setouchi ASIA Forum 2019" will be held for 4 days from August 21 (Wed) to 24 (Sat).

People who work on community development by cultural arts in Asian countries gather, learn and talk together.


As the opening session, we will invite experts who are active in various fields as lecturers at "Kagawa International Conference Center" on Wednesday, August 21 to hold keynote lectures. We look forward to your participation.
